How our process works
When it comes to hardwood floors, Pro Floors pays attention to even the smallest detail. Our methodical approach involves six steps:
Starts with field sanding using the appropriate grit sequence depending on wood species and how badly the flooring is worn
We then sand the perimeter using a edge sander to blend the two together
Scraping all corners is required to remove material and finishes left behind from edging
Vacuuming between each process is key to produce the highest finish product
Buffing the floor using different sanding screens flattens and provides a smooth floor
Depending on your choice of stain and grade of polyurethane we apply a coat of stain or sealer. Then three additional coats of water base polyurethane. We also have available a water based polyurethane that has a harden if you decide you would like to add life to the wood flooring finish system
Pro Floors uses solely DuraSeal products for their choice of stains and polyurethanes!
